Just had an awesome stay at Kottawatta River Bank Resort! The outdoor bathroom was a quirky touch, and we loved the spacious pool area. Our safari guide, Shante, was incredible—highly recommend him for a close-up elephant experience. Just a heads-up, the breakfast could use some variety.

The pools are beautful and well-maintained. The bathroom had bugs and leaves.

The breakfast selection was peculiar, featuring too much fried food and a limited variety of healthy options. I noticed cleanliness issues around the eating area, including an unclean table and an alarming presence of animals, like squirrels nibbling at the food. While the dinner was tasty, the breakfast left much to be desired. the balcony offered great views but disappointingly had no access to the pool, a definite design oversight for such a premium space. Bugs and leaves were frequently an issue in the bathroom area, making it feel less appealing.

A peaceful oasis before the safari
Arriving at Kottawatta River Bank Resort felt like stepping into a tranquil paradise, surrounded by nature. The spacious luxury tent we stayed in offered a comfy bed and refreshing outdoor bathroom—a truly unique experience.
I felt the breakfast options could have been healthier, as there were too many fried choices. The dining area occasionally felt chaotic with birds and squirrels scavenging nearby, affecting the overall dining experience. the pool area could benefit from more sun loungers, especially during busy hours.

Couples adventure seekers rejoice
The design of the room was just great, and I really appreciated the cleanliness of the pool, felt like we were swimming in a mirror. The reception staff were genuinely friendly, always had smiles, but what surprised me was seeing chipmunks scurrying around with their cheeky little antics, one nearly took my biscuit.

Incredible safari experience and delicious food!
I had a fabulous time during my stay, especially enjoying the well-organized safari that let us see elephants up close! The breakfast buffet was bountiful, featuring fresh fruits and even an egg station for custom orders. I think more sun loungers around the pool would make relaxation easier for everyone.
